On Sunday, November 22, 2020, Lidiya Amirzadov, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully at the age of 61 after a battle with cancer. Lidiya was born on December 22, 1958 in Leningrad, U.S.S.R. to the late Aleksandr and Ludmila Savshinskiy. She graduated from Gertsen State Pedagogical University in Leningrad where she received her degree in French and German Education. On October 6, 1982 she married her husband Konstantin. They immigrated to the United States in the late 1980s with their daughter, Julia, eventually settling in Bedford. Being a philologist, Lidiya naturally had a passion for travel and explored much of Europe, both with her husband and on solo trips. She loved seeing the sights each new place had to offer, especially museums and historic churches. To relax, her destination of choice was the island of St. Martin, where she enjoyed reading on the beach or by the pool. Lidiya was also known for her fondness of fishing and foraging for mushrooms. She is survived by her husband Konstantin, daughter and son-in-law Julia and Christian Walley, aunt Galina Liberman, cousin Sergey Liberman, and uncle Alec Rosenberg. A private burial service was held in Shawsheen Cemetery, Bedford on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.
