Obituary of Barbara H. Bennett
Barbara H. (Robleski) Bennett, 77, formerly of Bedford, died suddenly on Friday May 15th 2020. Barbara was born on July 19th, 1942 to the late Edward Robleski and the late Ethel (Smith) Robleski of Saugus. Barbara graduated from Saugus High School and then went on to become a hairdresser. After a short period of time she decided to make a career change and attended a program at Essex Agricultural Technical School in Danvers to become an LPN. After graduating she landed a job as a nurse at the Union Hospital in Lynn where she met the love of her life, John "Joe" Bennett. He was her Patient and she cared for him during his stay at the hospital. Barbara and Joe married in November of 1966 and resided in Bedford. In February of 1969 they had their daughter Carlene. Barbara went on to work in several other health care facilities until she ended her career at the Fernald School in Waltham after 25 years. Barbara loved the beach, and enjoyed spending summers with family and friends on Nantasket Beach in Hull. Barbara is survived by her daughter Carlene Bennett of Hudson, her grandson Nicholas Alvarez of Hudson and her grand-daughter Michaela LaValley of Hudson. Barbara was one of seven daughters born to Edward and Ethel. She is also survived by her sisters Carole Ressell and her husband Dietre of Gloucester, Theresa Walczak and her husband Paul of Lynn, Mary Robleski of Saugus, and Maureen Pulicari and her husband Perry of Saugus. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Louise Butler of Waltham and many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by her husband Joe and two sisters, the late Jean Ahonen and her husband the late Al Ahonen of Marblehead and the late Patricia Fyfe and her husband the late Richard Fyfe of Groveland. She also had a half sister, the late Joyce Bird of Georgia. Sister-in-law of the late Richard Bennett of Hull and the late Georgine Kiely of Lynnfield. Barbara was such a fun, loving, caring, beautiful person inside and out and she will be truly missed by us all. Due to COVID-19, Funeral Services were private.
