Bennu, formerly known as Jonathan K. Parker, passed away on February 15, 2021 from complications of liver failure.
Bennu, then Jon, was born at Worcester City Hospital May 17, 1961 and grew up in Northborough, MA. As a child Bennu was active in Northboro Youth Hockey as well as Northboro Youth Baseball. Bennu was also an exceptional golfer with a single digit handicap.
Upon leaving Northboro, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served at McChord Air base in Seattle as well as Andrews Air Base in Washington D.C. where he worked as part of the maintenance staff of Air Force One.
After leaving the Air Force, Bennu became a successful general contractor in the Little Rock Arkansas area and eventually moved back to the Boston area where he became active in the V.A. community.
Bennu is survived by his sons, Wesley and Andrew Parker, a daughter Jana Young and grandchildren Kedran Young, Jax Parker and Ashton Parker all of Little Rock; his mother Mary Parker of Providence, a brother Steven Parker of Norwood and a sister Jennifer Preston of Providence.
