Obituary of Mary Louise Voigt
Mary Louise (Walker) Voigt of Bedford died on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the age of eighty-two. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to Norman Voigt. Born in Buffalo, NY, Mary Louise was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (Carroll) Walker. After the passing of her mother, she was raised with her brothers and cousin on her aunt and uncle’s (the late Gertrude and John Vrooman) farm in Lewiston, NY. Some of her fondest memories were of her pony (Tiny) and her horse (Andy). Mary Louise was a graduate of Lewiston Porter High School in 1956. After graduation, she moved to New York City and worked for American Airlines where she met her husband Norman. After they married, they eventually moved to Bedford to raise their family. Mary Louise enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and pets. Along with her husband Norman, Mary Louise is survived and will be deeply missed by her children, Karl Voigt of Bedford, Heidy Voigt of Concord, NH, and Gretchen (Voigt) Crampton and her husband David of Woburn. Adored grandmother of Emily Crampton and her partner Doug, and Erika Crampton. Beloved sister of Raymond Walker and his wife Debra and Richard Walker and his wife Patricia and her dear cousin William Vrooman and his wife Barbara, and her sister-in-law Dorothea Laliberte. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Family and friends are invited to Shawsheen Funeral Home on Thursday, June 24th at 11:00am. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30am followed by burial in Shawsheen Cemetery, Bedford. A reception will be announced.
